Virraxx

As a part of a Pathfinder Monstrous campaign, the players involved where encouraged to come up with their own races. So here's my character and a design of the race, haven't thought of the race name, but I have thought up a little about their culture, essentially nocturnal cave dwellers, they guard a massive gate deep in the underworld of their lands, keeping out a massive beast that would otherwise destroy everything, all of the race are trained to guard this gate from the beast as well as those who would try to open, namely treasure hunters, since there's a legend that a treasure worth the ransom of 3 kings is hidden in, thusly named the "3 Kings Ransom."

however, after a certain age, they get "leave" to pursue careers and adventures outside their kingdom and lands if they wish. their cities are lit by naturally forming bioluminescent crystals, and fires are seen far and few between. Their main diet consists of Insects and fish, so they do business with a lot of ports and fishing towns. Their also known to be skilled musicians.

And even with their abilities and physiology, they do employ a range of weapons along their own natural weapons. Namely, a set of folded, bladed bracers dubbed wing blades, which the outer most blade measuring 1' 1/2" ft long. their main opposed race being an arachnid race which live in seperate but close caverns to them, also unnamed.

In terms of religion, they worship the moon goddess, who is unnamed at this time, since at the main city in the central-most cavern is a hole that allows the moon and night sky to be seen, which they built an irising gate to close and open as they need. seeing the phases of the moon to be different times for their people and the world, a full moon being a time of good fortune, and new moons and clouded skies to be ill omens.

as to my own character, Virraxx was one of those who set off to pursue his own journey, becoming a mercenary. He's a bit reckless, and is quick to run his mouth, to say in school he was the "class clown." but is worth his effort when and where it counts. easy to get along with for the most part of hard to forgive if at odds with him.
